I guess I like brown....

Do you ever get dressed, get your kids dressed, then realise you all kind of match?!

On this particular morning it seemed worthy of a photo. Just call us the Brown Family:

From L to R: A wears Oliver + S School Photo Dress, I'm wearing all shop bought, but the top was the inspiration for A's Ruffled Flashback Skinny T, and P wears Oliver + S Field Trip Raglan T and the yet to be properly revealed Awesome Pants!

So, no surprise that next week's Sewing For Me Challenge isn't going to involve any big floral prints or bright colours. But, curiously, I'm not planning on adding any more brown to my wardrobe! At least not yet.....

  1. That happens a lot at our house too! Except here it's stripes, denim and navy blue. I feel a bit like an optical illusion walking down the street with all of us in striped tops and pushing a stripey stroller.
The School Photo dress looks great, and so does what I can see of the Awesome Pants.

  2. And for that reason my kids are all but banned from wearing stripes! I own the stripe wearing rights at our house.

  3. Hehe this is awesome. Mine is gray; I love gray. I tend to match my son more than my daughter when we go out, though! ;)

    1. Oh me too. I could easily have a grey wardrobe next to the brown one!

  4. Brown is lovely :) It's a great neutral :)

I often unintentionally match Miss after getting us dressed. I guess you just wake up in the morning in a color mood.

    1. From the photos I've seen of your daughter she's the best dressed thing around! You must make an awesome pair when you're matching!

  5. Guilty of this! The last time I bought fabric for me I spent this LENGTHY debate about what color to get, finally bought, left, then later when I pulled it out on my lap realized I was wearing the exact same color. So maybe not a real stretch decision...

    1. Thank you. We got lucky with the 'stick the camera on the kitchen bench on timer mode' photo.
